What Breaks My Heart.

"What breaks your heart?"

This is the question my pastor, Perry Noble, asked the church a few months back.
This question has stuck with me since.

"Whatever breaks your heart the most, that's where you're called to serve."

As soon as this question left his mouth I knew, what breaks my heart more than anything is people, especially teenage-20 year old women who don't understand their self worth.

It is so heartbreaking to see young women trying to find their worth in a guy, in how scandalous they dress, and try to find their worth in earthly things that will soon fade away.

I feel like everyone at some point deals with this issue because I know I have.

You are not defined by what you wear.
You are not defined by who you date.
You are not defined by what you do with that guy or that girl.
You are a child of the most high King.

You are beautiful and you are worthy.

"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you..." Jeremiah 1:5

God, the creator of heavens and earth KNOWS you.
Just think about that. That's crazy!!

"I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well." Psalm 139:14

Psalms says "wonderful are your works", everything God creates is wonderful, you are wonderful.

I encourage you to just take some time & rest in that truth.

God has called me to serve.
God had placed a desire in my heart to give people confidence and self-respect in themselves.
That's what I want.
I want you to know how amazing you are.

What breaks your heart?
